Fall Trimester Exploratory descriptions are listed below
- Fall Trimester Exploratories will begin on Tuesday, September 6.
- Exploratories will meet 8-10 times, depending on the day of the week and the grade level.
- Exploratories take place Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday each week.
- Exploratories are divided into three age groups: Kindergarten, First-Third Grade, and Fourth-Fifth Grade.
- Registration must be completed and submitted online.
- If you have credit left over from the school closures in March 2020, it will applied automatically when you check out.

Our lacrosse enrichment program combines athletics, academics, and life lessons to create a dynamic experience that emphasizes safety, fitness, and fun. Certified coaches lead students through station-based drills and games that develop the fundamental skills of passing, catching, defending, and goalkeeping while using the sport to teach valuable life lessons including perseverance, leadership, and sportsmanship. Students also participate in STEAM activities that allow them to explore academic concepts like gravity, geometry, and force through the sport. TGA’s mission is to empower students with the tools to be successful within a team and in life.

Each week children will learn age appropriate traditional yoga poses that build strength, coordination, balance, and flexibility, in addition to breathing practices that develop inner calm, mind-body awareness, concentration, confidence, compassion and patience – all tools that will last a lifetime! Children who practice yoga regularly are more relaxed, centered and steady.

In this class, children discover the beauty and excitement of kathak, classical dance from North India. They learn the dance form’s key elements – music, movement, rhythm and storytelling – in a fun and challenging environment while developing their selfconfidence, imagination and creativity. At the end of the session, parents and families are invited to watch participating students in a showcase performance.

Join our talented viridian art instructors on campus, after school! We will create several amazing pieces of finished art, including drawing, watercolors, acrylics, sculpting, and more.

Are you ready to ROCK! Learn the basic techniques of dance and how to move to the beat. We promote a healthy lifestyle through fun, physical activity that encourages self expression through music and movement. This is a performance-based class, designed to help students gain confidence and self-esteem. We teach age-appropriate dance routines to pop music and classics from the past! We put on a rockin’ performance in costumes on the last day for family and friends to enjoy!

*This exploratory is open to students in 1st-5th Grade
Explore sports ranging from gymnastics to biking, mini-golf to soccer! Some lessons focus on the importance of physical fitness and different aspects of fitness, such as stamina and strength. Other lessons describe the mechanics of the sport, such as the physics involved in golf and the components of a stationary bike. The best part for the students is pairing up to build moving LEGO® models and the fun they have playing with them after they’re built – hitting a plastic golf ball with the mini-golf model, watching the gymnast spin around the bar, and “shooting hoops” on the basketball model. Maybe they’ll be inspired to try a new sport, or build a model of their favorite sport!

Get ready for all of your wishes to come true! In this after-school woodworking class, they’ll be tossing a coin into their own wishing wells while trained instructors teach students how to safely cut, glue, sand, and more. At the end of the session, you’ll add your own touches to make your wishing well one of a kind!
Cost: $290 + $25 Materials Fee (9 Classes) Class Dates: September 7, 14, 21, 28; October 12, 19; November 2, 9, 16 (No Class: October 5, 26)

We are devoted to promoting the merits of chess among children by using stories, dances, and catchy songs to make the game of chess exciting and easy to understand. Children participating in our program: Develop critical thinking and problem solving skills; Have better concentration and mental discipline; Gain confidence and have lots of FUN!!! All students in the chess club receive an exclusive Academic Chess workbook, prizes for good sportsmanship and participate in the “BIG TOURNAMENT” on the last day where all kids take home a prize! New and returning students are welcome! Children participating in Academic Chess will be broken up into groups based on age and experience.

What are the Covid-19 Procedures for Growing Outdoors?
Following updated guidance from the CDC and the California Department of Public Health, masks became optional during Spring 2022 Growing Outdoors programs. As we enter the 2022-2023 school year, we will continue to monitor guidance and requirements, and adjust accordingly, as needed.

What does my exploratory tuition pay for?
- We have a Site Coordinator on campus from before the first program begins until the last child is picked up!
- There is a Growing Outdoors Exploratory Leader in each class! Our trained staff person is there to focus on the students’ well-being, while the Vendor or Program Specialist will handle the instruction of the activity.
- We are dedicated to offering the highest quality after-school programs to our families! Each exploratory has a Vendor or Program Specialist who provides specialized and exciting instruction. To make this possible, each has a fee of their own which makes up the bulk of our exploratory pricing.
- Each school district requires use rental fees for all indoor and outdoor exploratory locations. These fees go directly back to your school district!
